Basically, i liked this book a lot. This book has an interesting twist different from the other Christie books I've read. Poirot is nearly exasperated by the seemingly straightforward case, and every clue is so shadowy only Poirot would follow it.
A great investment, and my husband, who usually doesn't go in for 'accents', finding them a bit hard to understand, greatly enjoyed it too. The reading by Hugh Fraser is top-notch; his excellent vocal performance elevates Dame Agatha's fine story to even greater heights. The description plays up the assistance of Poirot's old acquaintance Ariadne Oliver, but in fact her help on the case is minimal, although she provides some lovely comic relief. This 5-CD audiobook is a definite pleaser. Nice protective packaging.
